Conductor

Porthywaen Silver Band is friendly 4th section band, based in Porthywaen, Nr Oswestry, Shropshire and we are currently seeking applications for the post of Conductor / Musical Director. Our long established, friendly band is looking to appoint a new enthusiastic and committed Conductor / Musical Director to motivate, develop and take the band forward from February 2015. The successful candidate will have high standards, previous experience within a brass band setting, and be able to work with the wide range of abilities and ages of players we have within the band.We rehearse Monday evenings at 7.30pm in our own band hall which also accommodates our Youth and Training Band and Beginners Band.If you are interested in the above position or require further information please contact Dave Arden by email or by telephone 01691 682875.
