Help needed please

Hi,
I am trying to find out if there are any dates between 29th May and the &th June 2006, that a dear friend of mine from Holland could come to any Brass band Concerts or even practises. I live North Nottinghamshire so am quite central. I have tried various sites on the web but am coming up with no success at all. He is staying with me for a week although on the Saturday and Sunday will will be out most of the day, but not the evening.
He absolutely loves brass bands but being in Holland finds it rather difficult to get to any concerts himself. Now he is coming to stay with me in the heart of the mining community, he is praying that maybe a colliery brass band may just be playing. Can anybody please help me.

I have found the database of bands quite helpful - go to www.bandsman.co.uk/bb-links.htm and choose Nottinghamshire from the pull down list.

Hi,
Thank you for your reply. I have gone through each brass band that is within a decent travelling distance to us. I have found 1 that may help. It seems alot of the diaries are empty on those dates, or they are not yet got dates sorted.
I think he would even be honured to listen to a practise!!! Any Brass Bands Near me and I am very near Sherwood Forest, please shout and allow me to make this friends break a real special one please.
