I have not tried the Prestige but the last of the Sovereigns were pretty dreadful.
I had one of the earliest Sovs built when they first came out and it was a dream to play.
I tried a Yamaha 642 which I thought was very bland and have now been a Willson fan for about 10 years, it all depends on what you like yorself.

Hi,
Prices are around the usual, £3250 I think for the 2900 & 2950 models, the 2900 is by far the most popular model and one I have had for some 12 years now.
A friend of mine in Surrey is selling a brand new (6 week old) 2950 due to the tax man for around £3000.
Cheers,

No problem.
The 2950 has a larger leadpipe & bell than the 2900, matching all the new big bore euphs of today.
It gives enormous power and volume but the 2900 is much sweeter and more lyrical I think.
