Sovereign or Presitge (Cornet)?

Apologies in advance if this has been asked before:

I am currently attempting to put enough of my hard-earned cash together to purchase a new Cornet - I currently play a Besson International, but feel that I may be in a postion to upgrade in the not-too-distant future.

Is it worth me holding back a little longer, and saving for a little while longer to purchase a Prestige, or would I be better off aiming for a Sovereign?

I mean, I do not know a great deal about the Prestige series - Is the Prestige significantly better that a Sovereign?

Is the Prestige significantly better that a Sovereign?...... From what I can tell from the Besson web site the BE2028 Prestige Cornet is aimed at the soloist.
The BE928 Sovereign Cornet on the other hand seems to be developed specifically for Brass band work apparently offering that deep mellow sound often required.
I say get a BE928 Sovereign (NOT the BE927 Sovereign!) as a top of the range proffesional cornet. The Prestige may not blend as well with everything else for the majority of work you will be playing.

The BE928 Sovereign IS also VERY capable of solo work.

I play a sovereign sop. but I know what it is like to play a prestige. The principal cornet of Saltash has one, and he has difficulty in holding it down. Despite it's amazing gadgets it is so unbelievably hard to play. I have borrowed it before and loved it.

It depends how good you are. If you are an amazing player buy one but if you are nearly there buy a decent Sov. If you're going on the impress factor the Prestige wins hands down.

Hope thats of any help!
