One possible ans. re- the Times article.  Any comment?
The picture is a joke.  Intended?
In a few weeks I shall go and hear some out of 81 bands/English Midlands Region contesting (therefore 2106 players plus percussionists and conductors, not to say followers and junior/training bands, also there are other bands which do not contest) in Bedworth.  That is ONE of eight regions in GB (7 in England and one reg. of Scotland).  Some threat!
I wonder if there is any other organised/serious music group that big.
And, we get HALF AN HOUR of our music played per week on Radio 2 against hours and hours of Jazz on Radio 3.  Except for next week, as noted on this site.
Anyway I hope this is a case of any publicity ..  perhaps they should put it in the "Sun" too, same ownership I think.
