Mount Charles are delighted to have been invited by the Lord Mayor Elect himself to take part in the parade in London on Saturday 12th November.
Lord Mayor Elect David Brewer a Cornishman was elected on 29th September, as the 678th Lord Mayor of the City of London. The band will be travelling to London on Friday 11th before taking part in the street parade on the Saturday. Terry Sleeman, solo baritone said ‘It’s a great honour for the band to be asked to take part in the parade, and to represent Cornwall at such a high profile event’.The parade is followed by masses of media and is broadcast worldwide by the BBC and live coverage can be seen on Saturday 12th on BBC.The band will travel back after the parade, ready to start preparations for Brass in Concert the following week.

Wow that's really cool!

We did the lord mayor's parade last year with my army cadet band and we were on TV for five whole minutes! It was absolutely, positively, the coldest gig i have ever done in my life. We had to get up at stupid o'clock in the morning and a horn player and a flute player actually couldn't play cos their hands were so cold!

But it was excellent and an honour to be asked to play there and it was our first TV appearence (of 2!)
