Whit Friday Contests

Post by davemaynard1 »

Hi everyone

Was wondering if anyone hear is competing in the famous Whit Friday Marches tomorrow? Our band isn't, but we have arranged a trip to Delph, so anyone who is playing in the Delph contest may be able to see me enjoying myself! :D

Delph isn’t far from hear in Lancaster about a good hour so that’ll please some of the younger members, although I’m not sure about them being happy after the contest finishes, as it is usually very late! :D

Bye for now

I doubt I'll be going. The contest I adjudicated at, Roundthorne, has decided to call it a day. Well that is to say I haven't been called back and last year they said it'd likely be their last year.

I was at Whit Friday, although paying £3.00 for a burger was a bit shocking - was good though!
