American Concerto to get UK Premiere

I'm off to Canterbury, Kent (UK) this afternoon for the first read-through and rehearsal of the Euphonium Concerto by Ken Friedrich,

Having done the Euphonium/Piano version, I'm really excited about this score, particularly as it reunites me with Prof. Sonia Blandford. We both played in the same school brass band together, and have not met for some 30 or more years!

The concerto premiere will be in Folkestone, Kent on January 28th. at the 13th.century church of St. Eanswythe;
