The carnival committee are interested in having a Marching Band lead the parade at this years carnval on August 9th 2003. Participants meet at 12 noon with the parade starting at 13:00 hours. The parade proceeds at walking pace and the band would be expected to play throughout - it is a 1 hour walk through the town to the local park where the band (after suitable break) would be expected to present a 15 - 20 min display in the main arena after which they are free to stay and enjoy the rest of the day or depart (approx 3 - 3.30pm). Enfield Carnival Association is a voluntary non-profit group and the carnival is a charitable event so funds are limited but expenses are available although need to be agreed by the committee.
