Euphonium stand

Post by Nan »

Has anyone tried any of the music stands that let you play while the stand bears some of the weight of the instrument?

I've seen ads for a DEG music stand (like a tripod with a cradle) and a Stewart Euphonium Stand (a metal stick that supports the weight of the horn on your chair).

Do any of these or other options work?
Also, does the Stewart stand have a permanent attachment to the instrument or something that you can easily put on/take off. Thanks for any thoughts or advice you can offer.
