Any good brass magazines?

Post by Nan »

Does anyone know of any good brass playing-related magazines? Something with articles on technique, featured personalities/bands, instruments, CD reviews, etc. And of course, nice color photos of brass instruments. I haven't been able to find anything that fits the bill. Any ideas?

Nigel:
I'm in the U.S. The type of magazine I'm interested in would presumably have somewhat universal appeal for brass players. I'm not so much interested in band competition results and the like but more general info on technique tips, CD's etc.

Thanks for the links. I hadn't seen the 4barsrest site before and that looks like a keeper!

I don't think there's anything brass band related in the US, at least if there is it isn't mentioned on nabba.org.

Well darn! I haven't been able to find any good magazines here, but I thought that perhaps I just wasn't looking in the right places.
