Check out this new Festival promoting Brass.

If you saw and liked Mnozil in RAH I have some great news for you .

They have been booked to play at the new BRASS festival in Durham this summer.

BRASS! New International Music Festival. Join us July 1 -15th Durham

Year 1 and they have:

Two Brass Band Contests,loads of UK brass bands taking part and the famous Durham Miners Gala over thirty bands (1000 brass players).

YBS Band, W Fairey Band performing Acid Brass, Boban and Marko Markovic Orkestra, Orkestra Del Sol, Dirty Dozen, Jack Brass, Mnozil, Brazz Brothers, Dennis Rollins, Oren Marshall, Bellowhead, Jaipur Kawa Brass Band,

Loads more and a Festival Fringe.

Streets of Brass with international Street Bands, Street band busking competition and so much more yet to be added. Open Air stage.

No more details at the moment, however the organisers have set up a mailing list that you can get on by emailing rob.guest@durham.gov.uk and marking your email 'add me to the BRASS! mailing list'

There is a forum on the BRASS site and new stuff being posted all the time.

Lets get behind this one and raise the profile of brass bands to a new audience!
